Jon ‘d’ COUTRIER-OWENS

Jonathan ‘D’ Coutrier-Owens has had a career in music for over 15 years working with independent and major label clients. With a career that has stretched from studios to radio, that experience has allowed him to prepare clients both sonically and commercially for the next phase of their careers.

DJ D-Lyfe (hence Mixed By D) started his journey as a DJ honing his craft in grade school and working his passion into a career in clubs and radio in Orlando, FL and eventually became a mixshow DJ. At the same time graduated recording school and interned at local recording studios to continue to understand the sonics of music production. Throughout working in studios both small and large he eventually became head engineer / manager of NuBreed Studios in Central Florida for 10 years. To expand and diversify D eventually moved to Los Angeles and made Playback LA a homebase working as a staff engineer. Now residing in Los Angeles D works with a variety of clients in different stages of their careers.

D has always worked to exceed a client's expectations and to make sure his clients have everything they need to compete in the industry.
